A new mental health program called ‘Lifelines for Island Pubs’ has been started by Mindset Bros. It aims to save lives and raise awareness for men’s mental health on the Isle of Wight.
The campaign will distribute 40,000 Lifeline Cards in 100 pubs on the Isle of Wight. These cards will give men quick and private access to mental health support during crises.
Each card has a QR code. This code links to important support networks. These include an online community of men who understand. There are also free monthly meet-ups, guided walk-and-talk sessions, and private one-on-one mentoring.
Pubs are chosen as a key place for the campaign. They are important social spaces where men often go when they feel alone.
The Lifeline Cards will be placed on bar counters and in men’s toilets, allowing them to be picked up quietly and without judgement.
Ross Taylor, Founder of Mindset Bros, has said:
“We know that too many men are suffering in silence. By placing these cards in pubs where conversations happen and emotions are often hidden, we’re providing a simple, powerful connection to hope.
“This campaign is about community, conversation, and ultimately saving lives.”
The Lifelines initiative is part of Mindset Bros’ mission. It aims to make conversations about men’s mental health normal. We want to ensure that no man on the Isle of Wight feels alone or unsupported.
